Our netball team performed well at the Bucks Youth Games in Milton Keynes achieving a creditable 5th position overall. The girls and boys improved throughout the competition, which was of an extremely high standard, and finished with a flourish with two very hard fought wins in front of a number of enthusiastic parents who had come along to support the team. My thanks to Mrs Whiteley and Miss Blackburn for giving up a whole Saturday at an incredibly busy time of year for our teachers and for giving our players the chance to compete in such a prestigious event.

Next week sees our rugby team off to Reading to take part in the RFU ‘Road to Twickenham’ Festival when, as one of only 4 schools from Bucks invited by the RFU, they will be competing in the Southern Region Finals aiming to get to the national final in July and then to win the right to play at Twickenham in the Autumn. We wish them all the best as it will be their swansong after 4 fabulous years of competing in and often winning many events.
Our athletes enjoyed their experience at Handi-Cross and despite finishing 6th overall there were some outstanding individual performances from our pupils including Robbie Murphy, Daniel Heaney, Bradley Cook and Connor Revell. With a little bit more practice in events like the relay I’m confident they will fare much better at the liaison schools event in July, again at Handi-Cross.
